Plantling was inspired by sprouting seedlings for a flower garden. Tending them and watching them grow gave me a new perspective on their development- pushing up toward the light and down in the earth at the same time in order to grow properly... the seedlings require balance from the very beginning, then they grow right along that line in a way that blows my mind. I wanted to capture the dance the seedlings go through over time in order to become the plants we see daily.
